Brand design for Versus Arthritis new lifestlye initiative Arthr
New lifestyle brand Arthr is on a mission to improve everyday living for people with arthritis and other MSK conditions by designing and developing innovative, clever and beautiful lifestyle products.
In collaboration with Good Innovation, we led the brand design for Arthr – the result of a year long research project exploring alternative funding streams for Versus Arthritis.

Arthritis affects people of all ages and lifestyles
One of the findings in Good Innovation’s research was that people with arthritis were often embarrassed by the traditional living aids designed for the elderly they currently had to use. Arthr was born out of the idea that these products could be beautiful and stylish, and be unrecognisable as a health product. Arthr hopes to make a positive difference in customer’s lives by helping them to overcome the everyday challenges arthritis creates with dignity and grace.
Brand
The brand design meets in between lifestyle and health, with a photographic approach. We created a photography style and shoot guide, where all imagery is to be based around hands and people doing everyday activities. They are always accompanied by the bright, bold ‘a’ graphic device acting as a spotlight on the activity in the image. We created a brand guide and rolled the brand out across templates and social media.
